Assorted Images in Microslide Format
by Editor ~ April 8th, 2008. Filed under: Microslides.
A big thank you to all who have contacted me with thank-you messages. I’m having a lot of fun putting these free digital collage sheets together for you and have many more waiting in the wings.
This collage sheet features an assortment of vintage images that have been artistically cropped for use in microscope slide jewelry, which remains a popular craft.
I think they also make nice bookmarks; glue them onto perforated paper, embellish them with decorative stitching, and you have an attractive and useful gift for the reader in your life.
Note: The full-size images may be found in my clip art download shop.

Thank you Mary for sharing! I am just collecting my supplies to start making the slide jewelry. Can I ask you a question?
I understand that I enclose the picture, put the copper foil around the slide and then do I add flux? I keep hearing that term. I thought I just start soldering?

Hi Kathi, sorry for the tardy response. I’m not always able to reply here as quickly as I’d like.
You’ve probably already discovered that flux is an important ingredient in your microscope slide jewelry project. Flux is what helps the solder move and helps eliminate the impurities that are created by the soldering process.
I’ll try to gather up some information and post it here soon.
